We just love meaningful conversations with brides and grooms!

So we’ve added three conversations around wedding planning. For the sake of transparancy, we do hope these conversations lead to wedding coaching opportunities, and we are also offering to serve as wedding celebrants to those who participate in the coaching.

Over the years, many people have asked us about when we would add virtual conversations. We don’t plan to do so. We believe we are best focused on face-to-face conversations. We’ve made a couple editorial changes to reflect that.

We were also put off a bit by how much “experts” seem to want to charge for engaging in a simple conversation about the topic in which they want to demonstrate their passion and knowledge for the purpose of selling their services and goods. Frankly, we weren’t interested in paying a supplier to provide a demonstration of their appropriate/low-technology methods.

So, we eliminated the use of Conversation Point as a marketing venue. We had preached long and hard about the elegance of using meaningful conversation as an simple, effective road to getting new clients. Small business owners weren’t getting it. Eliminating business-related conversations allows us to focus on our passion: bringing meaningful conversation to all who would participate.

Therefore, we have changed our previous term “expert” to “leader.” And we have eliminated the business department.

These changes do not preclude business resulting from meaningful conversation; but they do shift the focus to the topic and provide greater access to guests by keeping costs down.
