Departments

For a Moment There, It Almost Reminded Me of School!

We break conversations into groups to make it easier to find the one that interests you. Our conversations seem to fall into these five groups:

• Mind, Body, and Spirit
• Spirituality
• Writers and Authors
• Co-Creative Gardening
• The Art of Conversation

Mind, Body, and Spirit

We notice that when people are engaged in meaningful conversation and small talk moves toward big talk, we drift toward challenging our core beliefs. For those who are really hungry for this kind of talk, we offer conversations that cut right to the chase.

Conversations in this department tend to attract both wellness practitioners moving beyond business-as-usual in the health care industry, and guests eager to connect with those following a different path.

Spirituality

The idea of this department is to help us connect with Spirit and deepen our personal practice. We tend to focus on conversations around beliefs and methods, and study groups around particular writers and thinkers.

Conversation leaders tend to be healing practitioners and seekers. We discourage evangelism. However, we encourage everyone to share and be inspired by our personal stories and knowledge.

Writers and Authors

Because we are writers and authors ourselves and tend to draw people to the community who are like us, we’re delighted to offer conversations to support writers and authors.

This support focuses on turning rough manuscripts into finished ones, self-publishing, and marketing your book. We also help writers get unstuck in their writing and writing life.

Co-Creative Gardening

We’re passionate about doing the right thing in the garden – whether it’s providing food, flowers, or enjoyment, or simply saving the planet.

These conversations focus on a new paradigm in gardening: working with nature, particularly nature spirits, to increase the peace – and the harvest!

The Art of Conversation

For those who really “get” the value of conversation, we offer wide-open conversations in wide-open formats. We also experiment with other existing conversation formats such as Conversation Cafe.

And we use this department as a catch-all for those conversations that don’t fit elsewhere.
